Tranny fluid leak

Tranny fluid leak

Does this look like its from the pan or the tail housing or maybe both? I figure its gotta be easier to change the pan gasket so I will start there.

Oh yeah one other dumb question... How do I check the fluid level?

Have you tried just tightening the bolts?

The fluid is checked when the tranny is hot, engine running at idle, and the shifter is in park.

I was searching around the engine compartment for 5 minutes and couldnt find a dip stick. It was probably about to smack me in the face.

Thanks for all the feedback... I just got this thing not to long ago... Today was my first time wrenching on it. I will try retorquing first. I suspect the pan gasket though.
