I got a set of aftermarket 8 bolt wheels for my truck and am looking for the best tire size. they are 18in wheels. I want some agressive tires.

Better question is, what size tires are you using now and do/did you like them.

stock gears range from 3.55 to 4.11. Look at the sticker in the door jamb for the axle code

edit: you already answered what i was asking in this post.

I don't go mudding, so I don't know much about the best tire for such other than what the guy uses on the truck can pull me out when i need a pull.

Depending on where you're at in arkansas, you can run into different types of mud and tires that work good in one type of mud will dig in with an other type. So ask the guys near you what tires they recommend.

You have 4.10 gears. I wouldn't be afraid to go up to 35x12.5" tires with your truck. You may need to trim or shim the front bumper a little for them to fit well. Otherwise 33"x12.5" tires will fit well.

The best mud tires that I've found that are streetable are Cooper Discoverer STTs. They are a very aggressive pattern, clean out well, aren't too noisy on the street, and look pretty good too.

Those look nice. kinda pricey but if they last its worth it. About $1228 for 4 on ebay thats a 275/65-18 LT325/60-18 are $1344 a set. how do I decipher the size?

I live in the ozark mountains. I don't do much mudding either anymore but I want something that I can pull my river boat in and out of the water with in the mud and on gravel.

if your buying new wheel size isnt much of an issue for REAL mud tires. you could get boggers if you're hardcore enough.
my friends dad has those wheels on his superduty, are you SURE those are 8x6.5 and not 8x170?

They came off a 95 they were tried on a 2004 and didn't fit. I test fitted them on mine and went right on. the only thing I can find on them with a size is j9x18 whatever that means. I measured them and the bolt pattern is 8 on 6.5.

275/65/18 is about 32x11

325/60/18 is about 33.5x12.5
