I all, I am new to this site and a new 6.0 power stroke owner and I would like to know the average cranking time (in seconds) of a warm 6.0 mine seems to be a bit long approx. 2 seconds it turns over really fast so I can't say how many times it comes up on compression but it's pretty much the same every time and it always fires up so maybe I'm looking for trouble that isn't there, Thanks for any help.

2 seconds you are fine. Ford says up to 5 seconds is OK. Mine is just under 2 seconds.

Mine used to fire immediately most of the time cold or warm but recently has also been taking a couple of seconds. It's not a big deal and it seems to be running well but I'm curious about this subject also.

I have checked FICM voltage(s), and they are good, also ICP/IPR cold and hot act like usual. It does seem as if something subtle has changed. Less than 1k miles on oil change (Rotella T-6), 5k miles and change on fuel filters. Battery volts good, haven't checked cranking rpm but sounds the same. Maybe fuel?

Thanks, Like I said I am new to the 6.0 so it's defiantly going to be a learning experience. It's nice having this site to post questions about it and the replies are near instantaneous.

First off get a scangauge ll and check your eot/ect's and voltage. Very basic vitals very important to your wallet. Don't trust the dash gauges except for boost. They are idiot lights with a needle.
