I'll get some more recent pictures up here soon.but I was wondering if there was a bolt in replacement for my rear end with the 8 lug bolt pattern, or if there was just a different gear I could put in t o speed it up a bit... Lol

You can use a pre-'73 axle out of a F-250, there's been a lot of discussions about this so you can do search and find the posts. It's suppose to be pretty much a direct swap. I haven't considered it in my F-2 because I just like to cruise in it as is.

Thanks ill keep sting this pictures as I go.. And I'll keep my eyes open for that per 73 axle! I don't need it doing 80 but would like to keep up with traffic lo.. Also going to look into a sincro tranny for it to make it easier to drive n town here but first up is getting it going then I can d the upgrades down the road! The sooner it moves the the easier it will be to get the wife to spend money on it lol

You hate sanding? I spent most of the day today sandblasting my '37 Buick, now that's rotten job. Sandblasting has to be the worse job related to the old car/truck hobby. At least it was a nice day, stayed around 70° all day, partly cloudy but no rain.

Your pictures remind me a lot of about 20 years ago when I was putting my F-2 back together. Nice job.

RPM, that is good progress. Thanks for the pictures.

Now there is something I'll recommend.....
Put the wheels and driveshaft on, bleed the brakes, fire up the engine, lash a chair to the frame and take it for a ride around the yard before the cab goes on. It's a freakin' hoot, trust me!
Not only that, it is a great time to learn the areas that need attention - loosen the things that are too tight, tighten the things that are too loose, see the exhaust clamp leaks, put even more grease in all the fittings, etc. Once you have the cab on, getting to reach all those things will be a challenge.
I rigged up a standard wall light switch as an ignition, a push-button starter solenoid and I could fire it up and shut it off from the beach chair.
Not only that, if you have any neighbors that are still wondering if you are nuts or not...the frame ride will allow them to make their final decision.

Tom.

I second the frame ride suggestion. I can't wait to do that with my truck. I've seen several pictures of it and it is awesome.

Hey guys its been a while since I been on here but I just haven't had a chance to work on the truck lately. I'll get some more done here soon and get pics up!i am kind of curious about. The rear bumper o. Is that factory on this truck or I'd it an option or just some custom thing?? I like it better than the "channel iron" bumper but would like to know more thanks
