HPOP fitting leak - Best fix advise

I posted a short while back about a leak in my HPOP line. Got the new high quality lines in and replaced both sides. Still leaking in the same spot. Must be coming from the connection fitting. Now here comes my newbie questions.

Can the fitting be repaired and how? I've never taken it down before. What is the best way to handle it? I've already wasted enough time with my own ideas!

Thanks in advance.

There are replaceable o-rings in the fittings at the pump and I believe heads.

I got my o-rings here: DieselOrings: High Pressure Oil Pump reseal kit - 7.3L Powerstroke

DON'T rely on the O-rings to do the sealing! It's the LocTite that does the trick!

However, both male and female threads need to be spotlessly-free of oil when you use the LocTite. Use according to the directions, too! First three threads only!

Spotless!

Exactly, don't just reply on the o-rings....

I went through the same thing with my T500, I had a minor leak from the non-servicable plug. Since I had the pump out, I resealed the entire pump, installed the new longer thread, used the loctite as specified and haven't had a leak since.

Keep in mind to give the LocTite a fair amount of time to cure.

Thats right, I forgot about the loctite! Good advise! I was originally thinking the o-ring inside that seals to the hose.

Make sure and get both threads clean and dry to get a good loctite bond.
