1948 F2 Parking brake equalizer clamps

Guys,

I love this forum and am in the process of rebuilding a green 1948 F2.

I have been looking on eBay for months and can't find these rear parking brake equalizer clamps anywhere. The clamps I am looking for are the two clamps on either side of the rear equalizer that the cables from the backing plates secure to. Somebody removed them with the cables years ago. I have the equalizer just not the clamps. I circled them in blue in the attached picture. Does anybody have these they would be willing to sell?

Thanks in advance!
-Andy

Andy, welcome to FTE the best Ford truck Forum on the world wide web. Someone here should be able to help you. Did you try MidFifty or Dennis Carpenter?

your picture did not come through. On the top of the forum page is a sticky that details how to post pictures.

1940/47 Commercial (1/2 ton) & 122" wheelbase trucks / 1948/51 F2/F3 / 1948/52 F1:

01Y-2501 .. Right Parking Brake Cable Conduit Support / Obsolete

01Y-2502 .. Left Parking Brake Cable Conduit Support / Obsolete

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either one, none on ebay.

I don't know if they're reproduced.

Andy, I think I may have one clamp that I didn't use on my F3. I had to modify mine a bit since I put on a Dana 60 rear end. I still managed to get the rear parking brake to work (mostly) as a back-up to the transmission band parking brake which it has as well. My Rube Goldberg style parking brake hasn't been road tested yet, but I think I have one clamp somewhere in the garage that won't be used. Give me a day or two to hunt around. If I find it, its yours for free. Will be back in touch. Tom
