Sea Foam,V10

So my brother swears by sea Foam and has been telling me to run some of it through my truck. Question is,i just put new spark plugs in less then 5,000 miles ago. Will i have to change them if i run sea foam through the booster line and gas tank?? Thanks guys.

I wouldn't change the plugs if you changed them with platinums recently. I ran seafoam through my tank twice after new plugs and other stuff and it cleared my idle up.

when i used to work at the parts store there were only 3 fuel cleaners i would suggest when asked.

seafoam was one of the 3.

as i would tell them: "i don't know if you have a dirty fuel system or not, but if you do, this will clean it and eliminate it as a possible source of the problem" usually skeptical, they would purchase a can, then return later that week to buy more for their other vehicles.

some call it snake oil, but i have enough anecdotal evidence that i can say with some degree of confidence that it will do what it claims to do when used as indicated on the label.

i generally run 1 can a year through everything i own. no need to worry about your plugs; the worst it will do is nothing.

I too can attest to seafoam and how well with works. I've worked on several vehicles that needed some love and after running seafoam through the intake and tank, it starts, runs, and drives noticably better. I've also used it in the block to clean things out, but I prefer to use either Berryman's B12 or Chevron's techron additive in the tank.

I also heard good things about Seafoam. Put some in new to us 5.4 with 98,000 miles. It really cleaned things out. Maybe to good. As in within 200 miles had to replace gas filter and then had to pull fuel injectors and get them cleaned. But with carb stuff it really made a difference for the better. Onan generator in motorhome runs so much better. And believe it or not ran some thru old Coleman camping lantern, big, big difference.

Used seafoam for alot of years, excellent in the fuel tank & works great to clean intake & valves when introduced through a main vacuum port.
No u dont need to worry about replacing the plugs again....Great stuff

I have been running it in things for a few years, my neighbor came up on his Polaris quad a few weeks ago, was running like crap, sounded bad, so I dumped 1/2 a can of seafoam in it, ran it around a few minutes, then parked it in front of garage and we had a couple beers and let it idle, within 20-30 min. there was a huge noticeable change, he was amazed. He just ordered a case online and brought me up half for giving him one of my cans! Great neighbor to have!!
