Having the Banks turbo kit made it easier to bypass. I've had my RDT now for 2 months and have zero blue smoke. Previously I'd get the occasional puff of blue smoke out of the tail pipe. My EGT's went down too as the CDR was sucking oil up and cycling it back into the intake to be burnt.
I am thinking about picking up one of these IDI trucks and I was thinking of adding a catch can similar to what we use on the LS1 cars.
Are you going to route the line from the catch can into the intake track (not using the CDR) and then you don't have to worry about the emissions ****'s?
Were I in California I would, but in Oregon we don't test diesels. Same with Washington. I figure the RDT is probably cleaner anyways than the blue smoke
As of now I haven't seen a drop of oil come out of the RDT, and it's routed to where it would drip onto the leaf spring if it did.

I totally understand and would do the same if I lived in an area that did not test diesels. Sucks to be me, but Clark county (and the county that Reno resides in) does.
Sorry to kind of highjack this but it is related. Does anyone know where I can get this part? It's Banks vent hose adapter PN 94042. I did a search on Bankspower.com and Google and can't find it for sale.
airdale, check ebay. I got one from there last year, might take a while for one to pop up, but search everyone now and then and you might be able to find one.

I'll try that. Thanks! They must not be available from Banks.
it sounds like your injectors aren't set evenly...
Good catch.. 7 old injectors and 1 new. I should have replaced all 8 at once but time(biggest factor) and money(doesn't seem to be a problem with how damn much I work lately)
It's on my list, but the front suspension and wind shield are higher right now.
I realize this thread is getting to be a little old now, but I have a thought...
If that kink in your RDT is giving you any trouble, I think you could flip that banks adapter around so the spiggot points towards the passenger side...
I have to take mine off to adress another oil leak, when I do so, I plan to install it the other way, and otherwise copy your RDT setup.
EDIT: Nope, nevermind... Heater hose is in the way of doing that.
