is e-350 van turbo an upgrade?

Hey everyone i have a 2000 f-350 dually and ordered a 2003 e-350 van turbo off ebay and was wondering if it would be an upgrade to mine or just a direct replacement. Thanks for ur help

Its an upgrade. The van turbo is a little bigger because the vans do not have intercoolers.

It will just about bolt right up right? I got a deal on it for $200 but just gotta put a $100 dollar rebuild in it has a lil back n forth shaft play

You'll need an adapter for to bolt it up to your down pipe. If I recall they are just over $100 at riffraff. Get the adapter and then it's a bolt in upgrade. You'll find it takes a little more to get the turbo to light but when it does it does.

Pulling is were you will see the most improvement. Night and day difference.

Whilel your in there that deep you should go ahead and delete your ebpv. Replace all your orings engine to pedestal, pedestal to Turbo. Riffraff has all your parts.

Thanks for all the help guys ...how much of an improvement will i see with deleting my ebpv? Its been on my mind ill just have to buy one thing at a time so the ol lady doesnt get mad for spending so much money at one time. haha

If you are already putting the van turbo on, then you already have to install the outlet adapter to use it on the trucks, so you won't have the valve, all you will have is the pedestal activating rod to plug and prevent oil leaks, or a delete pedestal.

If it were the truck turbo then there is a slight decrease in flow restrictions.

Don't think its an improvement(guessing) but a peace of mind. One less place for an oil leak over time
