Well Finally Got One

Well Finally Got One
I started a post a few weeks back asking about the problems with these motors and trucks in general, because I was going to buy my dad one.
Over the past 2 weeks (2500 miles) I finally put him in a 08 F250. This was just absolute torture seeing as I know nothing except what little information I got from you guys on this truck. Id look, think it was great, find one little drip of oil, one tear, one thing not working, one thing missing, ect. and go to the next. It was bad and rough with the guidelines he gave me, but its done.
His guidelines:
Lower miles
Diesel
Amenities
4x4
Good ride
Only spend about 30k
So respectable guidelines seeing how this will probably be his last truck and he wants nice. So this here put me in about the Lariat Package with 80k miles. According to you guys was not bad if the maintenance had been done. Well after looking at well over 300 on the internet, and approx. 100 in person, I came across one that didn't exactly meet his guidelines, but it was worth getting him and taking him to it to show him. I also showed him a few more along this trip and he was just so in love with the first one that he told me to do it. So that got to another 2 days of haggling and frustration.
The one selling point of this will be right below the description.
-08 F250 King Ranch
-4x4
-Fully Loaded all the way down to sunroof, nav, and remote start.
-White/gold
-Gold spray in bed liner zero scratches, with the King Ranch emblem on the back wall
-Bed cover
-The only flaws in the truck is in the front painted bumper with a couple chips, other than that not a scratch, dent, ect.
-Interior looks like its been sat in once, perfect.
Now the bad part 157k.
I say that as a bad part, but the selling point on this one was: (use x as an example)
-Bought at dealer x
-Serviced by dealer x
-Every time the hood popped was by dealer x
-Every service done on the mileage stated by dealer x
-Two services done by dealer y (where they were located makes me think this truck was used entirely for highway use)
-Traded in to dealer x
-We bought from dealer x
Every piece of paper work counting every mile and issue was covered and showed to the T of what was done.
Carfax showed a single owner, no wrecks no issues at all.
So that's what we went with. You don't see a 72 year old man smile to much, but going to get it yesterday he's was grinning the entire way and driving 80 in a 65 zone. so he's happy he got it, and I'm happy I'm done looking. Ill get pictures up later for you guys to see.

Congrats...pics and point him to FTE! Have him read the diesel supplement and follow the severe maint. schedule
Register his truck here:
Personalized Vehicle Owner Information
He can also view manuals and I think the ford videos are there as well. If not I can get them later.
Also look here at the tech folder:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ch-folder.html
If nothing more then it serves as a primer to gain some knowledge and insight!
Congrats.
