Starts back up once it's turned off
I have an 86 f250 with the 460. When it gets pretty hot and I turn it off it will like start back up and turn over a couple times and sound like a diesel. My grandpa said its just hot and burning excess carbon in there. Is this normal? Or something I should look into and if so any ideas what's causing it?

99% of the time, this is caused by the idle speed being too high. The engine needs air, fuel and ignition to run. The fuel is being ignited by hots spots inside the engine. So you need to stop the fuel and the air from entering the engine, and you can do this by closing the throttle plates in the carb more than they are at idle.

No No No, this is caused by Demon Possession. You need to do that Catholic thingy where they cross there heart, say three hail mary's and rebuke the demon in the name of jesus. Or if you are of protestant faith you might try just praying the demon away and start up a prayer group to lay hands on it. Or you could just fix the carb and double check your timing is set correctly.
