do a little searching around to see if the towers may be the same between your 300i and the 302. I THINK they are the same towers in the 2wd so maybe the are in the 4wd too???

On the F-150 4x4, the I-6 towers and the V-8 towers utilize different mounting locations in relation to the coil spring bracket. They both share some bolts for the coil spring bracket, just different bolts which have different spacing pattern between the 2 towers. This prevents you from just unbolting, moving the tower, and reinstalling in correct location without modification to the tower. You will want to find a set of towers (any one correct me if I'm mistaken) from either a '78-'79 F150 4x4 only, that has a 351/400M (V-8) engine.

My comment was meaning maybe the 300i mounts off a 4wd would be the same as the 302. Not that 2wd and 4wd are the same.

It seems dw_wanno has come in with some good info.

My question for him would be - would the mounts off a 78/79 bronco with the 315/400m work? Should be the same as the F-150 4x4 correct?

The 302 will fit the I6 perches (if the I6 perch is indeed the same as 2wd), it will just sit the motor up higher. I believe the I6 perch is the same as FE perches. The 302 perch sits the engine much lower in the engine bay.

The I6 perch is not the same as the one you'd need for a 302.
I do have a set of the perches that you need for a 4wd.PM me if you are still looking.
