Whats this noise?

Here is my truck sitting in the drive way. It will not make the noise when it is warm. Any ideas?

The noise is when I power brake it later in video. Is turbo boots, going to the intercooler?Cac boot? Thanks for listening. Glad it is not serious.

Where would I check for leaks? Had cab off in October, replaced up pipe gaskets. Would I check on the intake side or exhaust. To me sounds like boost sorta. On the hd300 no power tune i see 35 psi at wot, with no whistle.

That really sounds mechanical rather than an air leak. Sounds like metal on metal to me. Especially since you say it does NOT happen when the truck's warm. But I'm not as knowledgable as many so don't put too much into my statement.

When I put the intake on there was no oil there and there was no shaft play on the turbo. But I don't know where else to check. Any ideas where else to look?

I just could not tell what it was with my ears on this one.

I listened again this morning. I seems this morning like when you let off there is a sound coming from the turbo's as the rpms are coming down. Like maybe it is bleeding off boost.

Can you do a different video from the hood?

first time i watched it i thought the same thing RM2738 said but now this time is sounded more like air. you said it boosts up to 35 psi WOT on the no power tune. is that empty truck weight? that sounds like a lot to me if it is but not for sure. also when doing the WOT does it make this noise?

Listened again.

Check your boots for leaks and make sure they are tight.

Dang dude that sounds BAD!

Maybe something to invest in... I'm thinking of getting one.

I think it is your tune that is causing that noise. Retune to stock and see what you get.

Call the tuner people and send that to them and see what they say as well.
