Sounds like I could spend a few days just taking in the sights up that way.

 

I am sure you could Steve. Just at the inner harbor we have the USS Constellation which is the last all sail ship built for the US navy.We also have the Lightship Chesapeake, The USS Torsk SS-423 a Tench Class submarine that sank the last japanese ship of WW2. And then we have one of only 2 preserved Secretary Class Coast Guard Cutters on permanent display as a museum ship. The USCGC Taney was stationed in Pearl Harbor on December 7,1941. We also have Fort McHenry and a few other places as well.

 

A lot of history there..

 

That there is Steve.

 

The Torsk is the only preserved submarine to still have her original snorkel from her 1952 Fleet snorkel conversion.

 

I may have to search on line to see some pictures of that stuff.
