July Chat, General nonsense, and BS thread...all are welcome.

...by special request....

Hello (one day early) boys and girls.

Sorry I haven't been around much, I've been awfully busy. I miss y'all, and I'm glad that everyone seems to be doing well.

Not too much news on the Ford Truck front...my old 86 is still ugly, and she still starts and runs, so she's not getting to much attention right now, but I do try to fire her up every couple of weeks.

On the Ford CAR front however, some jackalope creamed my Focus.

Well, "creamed" might be too strong of a word...how 'bout, some jackalope did $3,370 worth of body damage to my Focus.

All of the people are fine, and I know that is what matters, but man my car looks like a hoopty.

Well well well, Terry is alive and well and remembers about all of us, lol. Sorry to hear about the car damage, but yes as long as the family is ok, the rest is fixable.

Great job starting the new thread, so pat yourself on the back and try to stop by more often, cause we miss your sense of humor.

Good Morning Everybody!

I went down to RC's place and got some primer down on the '51. The plan is to have the car's final wet sand done on Tuesday and the front clip's last coat of primer done. Next Saturday I should have the body shell in color. MAAAAYYYBE the front clip in color too, but probably the following Tuesday for that. As soon as RC and Ray get everything bolted together, I'll go back down and color sand and buff it out. It should look decent when I'm done.

Santa came to see me while I was gone yesterday. The Fed Ex guy dropped off a TON of big boxes for the C-cab. (even a little surprise for Tiff's Impala.)

The new shop is almost set up and ready to rock. I got most everything put away and set up. I just have to work on the office a little now. The electrician will be there on Monday to wire up my lift. It's been nice working in there so far with the extra room and air conditioned office.

Vince - that is incredible! I am so jealous of people who can do things like that. I never got past stick figures and they look like they have polio.

Well, the '71 is on hold for a while. We took off this weekend and headed to Eminence to float with some friends. Relax, the van ran awesome both ways. The problem is that time, problems with leaks around the front bunk, and 6 people enjoying the heck out of it has taken its toll on the floor. It had a soft spot when I bought it, but its gotten bad enough that it needs to be fixed. Before we can go camping again, I have to replace the floor. Not that hard to do, just labor intensive.

Good thing I'm not working with a deadline on the '71.

on another note i bought me a new car couple days ago well its not new but new to me its a 2005 cavalier, yea i know its a chevy but i got a pretty good deal on it i think its only got 106,000 miles and a new tranny with 2,000 on it for $1500 and the guy took really good care of it and for just a lil v6 that thing will get up and go but the main reason i got it was i just got tired of blowin through gas money in the truck all the time this thing is great on gas so far iv got 115 miles on it and iv barely used 1/4 of a tank, so that means more money in the pocket or should i say more money i can put twords the ford

Evening all!

Rich. We don't retreat around here. Once the new thread is started, we don't go backwards.

I got the quarter panel finished on the Chevelle today and I helped out a friend of mine's truck. Both of his window motors seized up. (in the down position) I fronted him the motors until we can work something out.

Chip. Yeah, the money is doing better. I'm just in a lot of pain and I'm really tired. We went to a party last night with a live band, friends, food and everyone was having a good time. I went out to the car and fell asleep for 2 1/2 hours.

Good Morning Everybody!

First cup of coffee is down and I'm going for the second.

I gotta get out in the shop and get the crossmember bolted into the C-cab so I can pull the engine and get it to the machine shop this morning. Then I have to borrow a trailer so I can get the steel I need. (which is a bunch, this time)

Tired & worn out after playing lumber jack over the weekend. Helped a friend take down 3 maple trees.
