Looks like everybody is staying busy as usual. As always nothing going on around here. Tomorrow will be the first July 4th that we didn't have a driveway and yard full of friends eating BBQ and blowing stuff up. I'm really dreading it.
I'm ready to go home

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

My mom called me tonight and let me know how he's doing. He had a 100% blockage in one of the smaller arteries near his heart. The doctors are amazed he's still alive. He had a stint and something else put in today. Now he has to lay flat on his back and perfectly still for four hours for fear he knocks something loose in there. I told mom they better knock him out. He can't lay still for four minutes, usually.

He seems to be ok now, but this man is stressing me out. I'm gonna call him tomorrow when he gets home from the hospital. A major heart attack a couple weeks after another stroke. .....he HAS to stay alive long enough to drive the C-cab.

More work tomorrow. I have to replace the subframe in a Cadillac CTS. Fireworks and food tomorrow night. I can't wait to get the Chevy in color this weekend.

Oh, I got Tiff's new wheels and tires mounted up and on the car after work today. I got her another set of chrome saw blades for her Impala.

I've got tons of pictures of the interior already, but as long as I take it one step at a time, it will be fairly easy to put back together. Besides that, there's outlines on the walls and ceiling where everything was.

Keep us informed about your dad Alan. Hope he is improving daily.
No big plans here for the fourth, the first time in decades that we didn't have a group of friends over for BBQ, and explosives. Gonna hit Lowes this morning, for their half price kingsford charcoal sale, 2- #20 bags for $10, limit two per customer, so Tim and I are gonna max out and get 80# each, should last a little while.
Did me a craigslist deal last weekend and filled half of my bed on the 01 with fresh Hickory wood for $40, that would have easily been $200 at walymart for there bag of chunks.
Just rambling, Y'all have a good July 4th

And you know it is actual hickory. Good morning everybody. Preparing food for a pool party today. Gonna get some shop therapy if possible too. Alan, good luck on some wind down time at some point.

Happy 4th to all, getting up and around slowly, this sinus cold is hammering me. We will get on the road to Penny's sisters house after a while.

They have a pool and we will BBQ and have all matter of grandkids running crazy.

enjoy and be safe, again Alan, just hang in there.

I'm home for the day.

The original plan was to get the sub frame out of the Cadillac and maybe get some stuff swapped over to the new sub frame. I stayed a little over 4 hours and got the new sub frame in, the radiator, condenser and fans installed, all of the bent brackets straightened and everything hooked up and installed. I even charged the A/C system. ...it's a whole car again!

I love it when I look like a rock star at work. This was almost identical to Jeff's Caddy, so it was still fresh in my memory on how everything went together.
