Well back to FTE, grandson's team were winning their games and then lost the finial game to go to state on Sunday.
Penny's Bday at Down Stream casino went well, we both were winners on the slots.
The guy from Illinois bought a bunch of parts and is back on the road, and we got a "Crave Case" (30 pack of While Castle burgers).
I am going to the doc to get some finger tip surgery tomorrow, that big metal splinter left a piece behind and it is all jacked up now.
Alan how is your dad?

i havent been on in awhile been tied up between work and family that came in for the 4th, but i do have a quick ? 1 of my uncles has a 91 f250 with a 351 in it and hes wantin to scrap the truck but said i could buy the motor off him for $200 it was rebuilt 4,000 miles back so its a pretty good deal im thinkin but now the ? is will it bolt straight up to my e40d in my 96 its just got a 302, im thinkin the bellhousings the same but i have to use the 351 flywheel bcus their diff i believe correct me if im wrong though, i havent messed with much small block stuff other than rebuilds here and their. also the 351 has the e40d as well but its the first gen of it and from my experience with them their a pos lol only other prob i can think of will be the comp stuff bcus the 96 is obd2 where the 91 is obd1. but i figured i better ask the experts before i drop 200 on a motor that wont work

Not gonna swear to it, but my memory (which likes to lie to me - A LOT) says they're the same. I'd ask Alan or someone to be sure. I know you do HAVE TO change computers, 351 has a different firing order.

i think those either a won't work or b as old as they probably leak like crazy and wouldn't be worth

Rich. When did you plan on getting ole' red here, anyway?
As far as my dad goes, how's this for a gear head moment? My mom said he wanted to talk to me. She gave me the number to the HOSPITAL, WHERE HE WAS STILL LAYING IN A BED. I didn't know what he wanted to tell me, but I prepared myself for the worst. I called him and he just wanted to ask me a question. "How hard would it be to put a four speed in the C-cab?"
My reaction was something like this......
Yeah, ...six strokes and you're STILL in the hospital from a massive heart attack and you want me to put a manual trans in your hotrod? ...How about, ...NO.

.. it aint a hot rod unless there are 3 pedals..ha ha ha ha ha just joking ....on the 302 to 351 question.. the flywheels are different on a 351 and 302 (different weight).. but bolt pattern on bell housing is the same.. the exhaust will be a little different too because the 351 is slightly wider..intakes are different, heads will interchange.. as with most engine sheetmetal. engine brackets will vary some work some dont.. distributors will swap out, not sure about computer components because they didnt use em in 1970..

sounds good to me hopefully they are in good shape i was going to replace all the hoses includeing that goofy skinny one you need a special tool for that i don't have. The lines on the truck i was looking where brand new decent goodyear ones wonder what the condensor and stuff look like the compressor looked pretty new also
#164
anyone know how to undo the a/c line with the goofy fitting where it hooks into the evaporator from the condenser...not sure what its actually called but the fitting will let the line swivel i still haven't managed to find my manual for this year truck. More Information for GPD 4811430 this is the hose i am talking about if it helps
