91 f150 wiper governor

91 F150 Wipers stopped working on low and delay. Worked only on high. Now the high finally quit working. Most people say its the wiper governor. Can't find it at local parts stores nor online. Part FOTF-17C476-AA. Black box with two plugs on a wire harness. What are my options, is there a replacement part number that would work, (if I lost the intermittent I can live with that), can I bypass it and just have on and off? I have been getting by with a good coating of rain-x.

The Hi speed position doesn't go thru the delay module.
Here's the diagram for a 88 which uses the same switch
and module as your 91 but the color of some of the wires
could be different.

The governor module is pretty reliable. Usually when you
have problems with slow speed or delay it's due to cracked
solder joints.

Since you've lost all speeds, your wiper motor is probably
bad. Verify power and ground.

These usually fail because of the heatsink solder joints on the circuit board.
I have taken more than one apart and re-soldered it.
Ford service manual recommends NOT reattaching the bracket to the parking brake.
The vibration from releasing the pedal causes the problem.

Here's a delay switch+module on Ebay.

As mentioned above, check the black ground wire from the switch itself to the dashboard if you have lost all speeds.

You can revert to a regular 2 speed switch eliminating the module.
The harness plugs into it directly.

Guys, thanks for info. I will check ground and also take a look at solder joints inside black box.
