Hello

Hey,
Just a quick intro, I just bought a 92 f350 crewcab w/351 and a E4OD 2WD, E4OD has issues of course. I live in Buckeye, and love busting open my knuckles on cars, I dont know why I just always have.

Besides fixing the tranny, I would like to maybe swap it to 4x4 and get a 5-6" lift(regardless of 4x4), clean it up a bit more(fix dents and dings and some fresh paint), figure out how to get rid of all the ugly clutter under the hood...that smog BS.....get rid of the stock rims for something a bit more umm..stronger looking????I dont like 20"+ rims be afraid I would scratch them...black out the window with 2.5 and 5% tint...nothing too fancy....will try to do pics and stuff with anything I do. enough with the

Hello B19gale. First off kind of curious how that 351 does in that F350. Summit racing has cheap rebuild and bullet proofing for the E4ODs. I am a lot like you love busting knuckles on cars and don't know why.

On the 4x4 swap if you do it go to a ZF5 and a Dana 60 front. We are doing a 4x4 conversion on our 89 F350 2wd using a 4spd manual (non ZF5 which I wish I could find a ZF5) and a Dana 50 front. Also if you do the swap have a spare truck on hand. Although I haven't started on ours I know it is hard to do. On the 5-6in lift I would personally not go much more then 4" as that fits 35s easily on a 4x4. I agree on the wheels I would look into Pro Comp 6031s or similar in 17s they look nice on these fords. I don't know if you have it or not and if you can do it in Buckeye or not but ditch the cat I personally love the sound with no cats. I personally live in snowflake so don't know much about Buckeye and such areas but the 4x4 conversion may not be needed with a good locker and such.

Havent really been able to check out much on the truck performance wise yet, due to tranny issue...summit...will be checking into that here in a few hours then when i get done with my online school stuff....going through a tech school and they have some online stuff you have to do in exchange for actually writing down homework
I am not looking for the motor to do anything special I just want to be able to at least do the speed limit-ish on the freeway and if I need to move/tow something for it to work....e will see how it goes

I know the 351 in our 89 F250 4x4 does nice but that is a reg cab flatbed not a huge crew cab. Was just curious. I hear you I think if Ford put it in there then it should do all that as long as it isn't to tired.
