2008 6.4 squeal on startup, even when hot

got a 2008 f250 6.4. Every start it squeals even when it it hot. 5-10 seconds. It sound like the turbo, not getting oil for the first few seconds. It doesnt seem like the belt, ac coming on doesn't do it. It is driving me crazy.
Any thoughts?

If u need to replace one tensioner, I would replace both tensioners, both idlers, and both belts.

I will replace all of it. What is you're thinking behind that tho? Since it does it when it is hot and only for a couple seconds.

the pulleys have been known to go out. It might also need a new belt.

Just to be sure check your fluids as well. Check the fuel cooler level.

If you are under the 5K/100K warranty for the motor the pulleys would be covered and if they are bad they will replace the belt as well for free.

While you are in there, just take care of every thing, then you don't have to get back in there.

If you the tensioners your self there are videos out there.

Basically you take the powersteering resvior loose and the upper fan shroud.

Listening to it today it does sound like this is the issue. Atleast I hope. Ill order up the parts tommorow and install when they arrive. Own beat bet or aftermarket? Also can I just replace the bearings in the idlers? I ushualy just go to Grainger and get some sealed bearings. 1/5 of the cost.

I think OEM is all that is out there. I tend to think they are not re-buildable.

are you out of warranty? If you still are under the 5 year/100K then it is free at the dealer.

looked under truck this mornig and sure enough the outer tensioner was bad. no dealers open so I went to NAPA and got 2 new belts new tensioner. the idlers weren't in great shape so i'm replacing them as well. I cannot find a dia 17mm, outside Dia 48, with 14mm bearing anywhere. NSK- B17-102DG48. so i orderd 2 idler pulleys $25 each. At least I wont have to worry about it for a while. The inner tensioner seems fine, if it was in stock I would have picked it but no luck.
Not a very difficult job at all. second set of hands would probably help.
