#1 fuse keeps blowing in '01 F-350
2001 F-350 diesel. Out of nowhere, I start the truck and there's no turn signals. Fuse is blown so I replace it. It immediately blows. Tail lights work. No turn signal, brake lights, or hazards. I haven't hooked up a trailer or done anything abnormal recently.
Only the #1 fuse (20Amp) is blown. Pulled bulbs and they work fine. Inspected wiring under and near lights. NOTHING!
Any clues? Any way to localize a short?

I'm about to roll it off a cliff and collect the insurance. I disconnected column harness and fuse didn't blow. Next morning, it DID blow. I reconnected harness and the fuse lived! Now have turn signals and brake lights. Haven't even started it and it did all this.
I took all the bulbs out and checked continuity with multi-tester and lit with battery, they work. I always had tail lights, just not turn/brake lights.
I forsee a visit to a pro. Some kind of omeba short somewhere.
