Anti-rattle kits ad vent window rubbers installed
I installed new vent window rubbers and anti rattle kits from LMC, had to trim the 2 horizontal felt pieces along the window and trim the long channel piece to fit my 62. The dremel cutoff disk works great for this.
The 2 horizontal felt pieces along the window does not fit the curve perfectly but well enough for a daily driver. I hated to pay the outrageous cost but afterwards, it is totally worth it. The kits and new rubbers "make" the newly painted doors.
I found it is a lot easier to have the glass inside the door before installing the long front bracket but was able to turn the door upside down to get the glass in on the first door. Also, leave both brackets loose until the end so you can make adjustments to allow the felts to fit the window.
If installing new rubber on the vent windows, be carefull as it is easy to get the wrong rubber on the wrong window and you will leave a gap on the outside of the window, the rubber is thicker on the outside edge to fill the gap. I also had some trouble adjusting the rubber on the vent window to get the thicker rubber area to fit the gap properly, had to trim both ends of the rubber to get it to work ...... starting to see why genuine parts beat the heck out of aftermarket overseas reproductions.
By the way, it was an easy job working on the doors in the living room, under ac with the wife holding the door up while she watched tv. I told her sacrificing an old blanket was cheaper than putting ac in my 25 x 32 shop.

I did not lube the door window channels but......... very important, when you run the long forward channel support up through the window opening you need someone to pry the opening apart (or use a wedge) to keep from scratching the chrome on the support. I suggest using tape to protect the chrome.
In regards to the arm rest for the drivers side, I have a new armrest but do not have the hardware to install it.
There are 2 slots for the armrest. I put white paper behind the slots to show the location and took a picture as close as I could without it being blurry. There are no slots on the passenger door on my 62 F100.
The slots are 3/8 by 5/8. From the center of the door handle they are about 5 and 10 1/2 inches to the front of each slot. If I can not get the proper hardware I will use a 1/4 or 5/16 inch screw and some washers and lock nuts.
The slots are centered on the middle groove as is the door handle and window operator. See picture below.

The second, I put the window in first and manipulated the strips until the window was in place then attached the roll up mechanism, then bolted the strips into place and made a final adjustment to keep everything snug.
Good luck.
