I have a slide out under my 78 f150. I thought is was an after market carrier. It is not the typical one I see for this vintage of a truck. I was going to remove it and install what I thought was an original type carrier. I happened to see the slide out in the 1978 Ford accessories catelog and decided to keep it. I see in other posts that it was an option. It is not listed as one on my Marti report or on my window sticker?? Maybe a dealer added option??

Thanks a bunch for the slide out carrier. Its going to get cleaned up tomorrow. Now I just need one bolt to hold it to the frame D3TZ-1408-D. if I don't find it, I will make it.

Thanks

benbuilder, I was looking for one for someone that recently purchased a slide out from me. If you have one, please let me know and I will try to pair you guys up. I don't think TK big country was the person that purchased the slide out.

Thanks again for looking.

I came across another slide out with all of the hardware. Hard to get all of the hardware out without removing the gas tank or at least loosening the tank. I can't believe how easy it is to remove the spare tire compared to the fixed spare tire carriers. I have always thought that one day I was going to look into putting one into my 67'. Has anyone ever installed one on their 67-72 generation truck?

Has anyone tried to mount a slide out carrier to their 67-72 generation Ford truck?
