Scored an XLT Diesel Club Wagon!
Got this thing so cheap, it costs more to fill it up than what I paid for it!
It's a 1991 E250 fully loaded Club Wagon, 7.3L Diesel, E4OD with 3.54 gears. Power windows, locks, cruise, tilt, AC and captain chairs! And has all it's 3 rows of seats for the back.
Bought it from the original 78 year old owner, who is from out west in Alberta. He bought the van brand new in Alberta, ran the van there for about 10 years, then he moved down to Arizona and lived there for 9 years, and been here in Ontario for 3 years with it, and it's been sitting for a year.
It doesn't run, it looses prime, witch is a simple fix, but he just wanted it out of his driveway.
Looking through all the original paper work that came with it (love 1 owner vehicles) I found a receipt for a transmission rebuilt that was done at Aastro Transmission in Tucson AZ in Dec. 2005 at the tune of 3185$. The van has 225k miles on it, and the tranny was done 44k miles ago! Score!
Enough chit chat, here she is! Pretty nice shape to! Original paint! The frame, and underbody of it look brand new, but the rockers are getting soft in some places.
It's the exact opposite from my van, mine has mint rockers, but rotted floors!
Towed it home 80 miles with a tow bar attached to the frame horns. Took the bumper off.

Yea interior needs a good cleaning, but my van was alot worst when I got it, and I got it looking new inside again, so this one will be easy to clean out.
I got there, looked around the van, talked with the owner abit, and i'm like, ok how much are you looking at getting?
Hes like, whatever you give me. I'm like well give me an idea.... hes like offer me anything over 50$.
Ok.... will you take 100$ then? He smiled and said, yep absolutely, get it out of here!
And I can't wait to get this thing running, so how Overdrive feels with 3.54's compared to the War wagon's C6 with 4.11's

SHE LIVES!!!!
Just got my 100$ IDI club wagon fired up!
I bought it non running, owner said it looses prime. Hasn't ran in 2 years.
Well all I did was put the 2 almost new batteries from my F350 in it, turn the key on, waited on the plugs, cranked for about 6-8 seconds, and it fired up with a huge puff of blue smoke, it surged up and down very lightly for a few seconds, once that was over, exhaust was nice and clean, engine was nice and smooth.
The IP does sound very very retarded though, as the engine is very quiet, but runs nice and smooth otherwise!
I'll have to re-install the front bumper, slap some plates on 'er and go test drive it tranny feels great just running around the yard, and brakes grab like new!
