54 Ford F100 3sp Clutch Return Spring

Hello everyone! I've recently bought a vary original 54 F100 with a 223 6 cylinder and 3 speed light duty manual trans. She hasn't been started in about 30 years. I got her running yesterday and when doing that I noticed that the spring on the clutch fork was broken. Mine just had the piece with the coil still hooked to the clutch fork. I've have bought a new spring, but I'm not totally sure where the other end hooks to. If anyone could please post a picture that woud be AWESOME!

Thanks in advance everyone!

Lots of great info on here!

ALBUQ F-1.... Thanks for the link. I checked it out and we are talking about two different springs I think. (Sorry if my description is poor) The one I need pics of attaches to the clutch fork and appears that it would go forward from there. I check the shop manual but didn't find what I needed. The replacement spring has a hooked end with about 3 inches of coiled spring and then about 10 inches of a straight piece with another hook on the end of that. I can take a post pics once I get home from work.

I get it, it's highlighted below. On earlier trucks the springs hooked to the crossmember.

There should be a small bracket bolted to the frame. This one I had to move the hole from the side (facing the engine) to the top so it would clear the exhaust header.

I have same engine/tranny setup. The spring goes to a bracket on the frame rail.

Thanks guys! You all are awesome! I noticed that bracket on my truck, but it semed maybe too far away. I got it on last night. I also jacked her up and ran her through the gears. Now to get the brake drums off to put in wheel cylinder kits.

Thanks again!

BTW..Wow those are some gorgeous looking trucks!
