I have just finished installing a new AIr Conditioner/Heater/Defroster in my 63 F100 w/ 223. I think it went in pretty nice. Step by step photos on my hard drive, but I don't know how many email will let me send you, but I'll try. I'll cut CD for postage plus a buck. <buellb@gvtc.com>

What brand a/c unit did you use? Was it a pretty easy install?

I used a system from Hot Rod Air. Their "Elite" evaporator slipped right in place of my stock heater, actually hangs down less, but I lose my glove box. The brackets are Adam York ones for a Chevy (sorry, folks) straight six. These came with the system. email me, and I'll send a picture or two showing how it fits...and Oh, Yeah, their entire system with Lifetime warranty on everything is $795.00!!

hmmm...thats convenient. I have the same truck. Is there a way you could send me the pictures? I want a/c in my truck but am not only clueless on installing it, but also on a budget. I went to hotrod air and the only ford a/c systems I saw were for mustangs. Please let me know which you used and how you did it. The $795 price sounds great too.

thanks

I'm also interested.

I've been looking for the brackets to install an AC unit on my 223 for three years. Had finally decided to convert to a Y-block in order to do this. I will e-mail you my e-mail address. Have you considered posting pics and info in your album/gallery?

Sorry, I didn't look before I typed. I see you've already posted the pics. Nice job. Would like to have the model number of the unit you installed, especially any info on the brackets.
Does the 223 have enough umph to pull the compressor without a problem? Again, nice job.
