F-250 rear axle interchange

Hello,
I have an old 88 F-250 2X4 that has a bad ring and pinion, I have found a complete axle assembly out of another 88 but it is a 4X4, will it fit in my truck?

yup. the only difference may be the gear ratio.

The only other issue might be is if one axle is a full floating and the other is a semi floating. They will both bolt it without issue. The gearing might be different as stated above but with your truck being 2wdclose I wouldn't worry about it to much.
