Extended warranty refund

Extended warranty refund
Hi everyone,,
I bought a 2007 Ford F250 back in April 3 2012 at a local used
Car dealership.. At the time of purchase, I opted for gap insurance
As well as an extended warranty. The truck had 39xxx miles at the
Time and was a v-10 powered truck.. The original extended warranty
The dealer sold me was thru Wheels company. It was their top of the
Line policy for 48 months and 48,000 mile of coverage with a $100 deductible.
I found out about 3 months later that this Wheels company did not cover v-10 engines and that the dealer was switching me to a different warranty company for coverage. The new company was called pro guard. Same thing 48/48 coverage with the same deductible.. They enrolled it from the time I signed up, which was september2012, Not when I took delivery of the truck..
Anyhow, in November 2012 the truck went in the shop for a tranny whine. The truck ended up needing a torque converter after they tried a few different things with no luck.. The warranty company paid the claim minus the deductible and down the road I went..
I traded the truck in back on March 29 2013 for a 2000 f350 psd equipped truck. I went to the selling dealership to put the request in to cancel the warranty. I was told the usual 6-8 week wait for a check blah blah..
Just got called from the dealer after checking in with them about the issue and aparently because I put a claim in on the warranty, I was not entitled to any pro rated refund.. Granted the amount of the claim they paid was $26xx and the policy only cost $2000 but I still don't get it.
I've had other 6.0's and my last truck a 6.4 brand new that had massive amounts of work done under warranty but always got a refund when they were traded. This is the first I'm hearing of this..
The other warrantys where thru Zurich on a 6.0; a ford esp on a new 6.4 and a Chrysler service contract on a ram cummins..
Thanks for any assistance or insight..

And if you do read ALL the fine print. All 30 pages of it.
heck maybe the selling dealership will get tired of you
sitting an reading and just give it to you to open up a salesman
for some other person. I have GE Capital ONCE and only once.
Yes they fixed the torque converter. But what a pain.
