Hubs were rebuilt last summer. I'm probably going to swap in a set of warn's anyway. I have used them in my last 4 fords and never had an issue. I dont even know how this auto system works.

 

The question is more "if" than "how". You've got the right idea with the swap.

Nice catch you got there. Firstly, on the emissions thing here in lovely Washington State, 89 is the cut off year. My now sold 88 ranger just did its final run before I sold it.

As for your bronco, it looks great. I'm not a huge fan of the later models because I don't understand most of the new fandangled efi technology. That's not to say I wouldn't get one. I just like my older "fix it every day" bronco. The interior shouldn't be too hard to clean up and make nice. Pull the carpet and steam clean it, seats, wipe the dash etc.
