I am trying to get my step dads truck to run. it will run when you dump fuel down the plenum. we checked the fuel psi on the fuel rail it is @40 psi. i checked the power from negative battery terminal to red wire on the injector it has power. power however does not pulse when turning over. switched the ground clip to positive on the battery test light comes on and pulses when turning engine over. the gas gauge and the amp gauge also are not working. any help would be appreciated. Can u pull codes? I've read of this problem in the past. Hopefully a wiser member can help with your diagnosis.

 

Check the small ground wire made into the battery lug on the negative battery cable. I has a connnector on it going into the harness along the front of the truck. That is the computer ground. Without good continuity there, it won't run.
