Replaced up pipes and now have less boost and smoking from under the hood

Hey guys long time no see!! Today I helped my little brother remove and replace his factory up pipes with bellowed pipes from Rifraff. After running into a few problems (the freaking Marmon clamp at the back of the turbo connecting to the y collector) we got everything put back together and even rebuilt the fuel drain valve due to a slight leak. After test driving the truck we found that we only had 10 psi and the truck was smelling hot. My question is what would cause the 10psi other than maybe the up pipes weren't seated good at the manifolds ( I did finish under the truck about 10:00 pm so light was not an option) and as for the hot smelling engine and smoke, could that be fuel burning off from getting some in the valley and running back on the exhaust and up pipes?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I think the answer is clear; something isn't tight.

If the smoke is white it's excess fuel, if its black its exhaust and your uppipe is not seated. Check all connections that you undid earlier.

How hot we're your EGT's? If it smells hot your EGT's are probably way hot. Do you have the alignment pin on the baby's butt aligned? If not, no boost and super high EGT'S will be the result. Don't drive it again until it's fixed if this is the case. Leak on the up pipes to turbo will cause high EGT's and low boost. Leak from turbo, to intercooler, to engine, will cause low boost only. You definatly have a leak somewhere. Good luck.

My vote is the same as CrewCab. Look at the collector to turbo connection. Its hard to see but you can with an extending mirror. You can also see from under the truck with a good flash light. You'll probably need to loosen the up pipe to manifold bolts to get the pin to line up. This is most likely the issue. Good luck with it and let us know what you find. Also is it noisier? I would think it would be if this is the case.
Jim.
