I just recently did an engine conversion on my 78 f250. Originally it at the strait six and now has 460. I have been doing a bunch of research on headers and really have only found l&l's chassis exit 460 headers and the stuff from bronco grave yard. Just wondering if anyone else has ran headman or hooker or know of any other applications that will fit the 460 and are not the fenderwell exit style. Trying to keep everything between the rails.

 

i have the l&l's for mine ( chassis exit ) and i'm completely satisfied. they have a 1/2" mounting flange which is much thicker than some other brands which gives a better sealing surface ( less warping ).

 

there was a thread on here about maddog headers, I looked at them and they looked pretty good. they had options on primary sizes (which is very nice) and pretty sure they had chassis exits

I have a set of L and L's and well... (this may be sac-religious on here) but since day one I have not been impressed with their products or their customer service!! I am on my second set and I haven't even fired up my motor!! too bad you aint looking for fenderwell exits or I Would make you one hell of a deal on them.

sorry about the rant, don't let my issues with L and L sway you away from something that may work good for you. check out maddog headers and others. I had a friend that had Heddman's on his '79 Super Cab and was very happy with them. good luck finding what will work for you
