Replaced both IMRC and solenoid, replaced intake gaskets, IAC, both temp sensors, TPS, all 4 O2 sensos, sparkplugs and wires.. Truck has been coding for uncontrolled idle, checked and repair all vacuum lines that look the least bit wore, checked for vacuum leaks. Finally got to just the P1538 code. Truck has been sitting for the last year or so and been working on it ocasionally but got laid off this week and had to turn in my company issued truck and need to use this truck again..
Any thoughts????

 

The code says intake manifold runner on bank 2 stuck open.
Review your work.
You did not say but you must have a V6.

Yes 4.2 V6, I pulled the upper intake and the butterflies are moving by hand, you can feel the spring tension from the IMRC. I'm going to pull the lower intake and test the electricals in the IMRC's and the wiring. I bought aftermarket (Dorman) IMRC's maybe one was defective...
