Highlift on hood would it work?

So I want to mount a high lift on my hood but I feel like the good wouldn't stay open on my 1990 ford bronco

Try it and see. There isn't much room under the hood between the intake plumbing and the hood itself. And if you are asking about strapping it to the outside of the hood, why would you want the visual obstruction? The F-series and Broncos of that era already have limited visibility down in front of the truck due to the height of the hood. (It is why the 92+ models have the lower/longer slope to the hood).

I agree that it would depend on where you want to mount it on the hood. Best bet is to try it and see but I would say there are better mounting options out there. Post up pictures if you do try it.

Because it "looks cool" on Jeeps...

I say mount it to your spare tire carrier. keep from having that obstruction in your way.

It wont work if you plan on taking her off the pavement. I had my jack bolted to the bed floor and after a couple trips to the trails, multiple large cracks began to form around the bolt holes.

Mines on the rear bumper.

NOTE

A rookie cop did give me a ticket for obstructing the view of the

license plate.

That weight up there will eventually hurt the hood or the locking mechanism, there are several possible options in the rear. The guys have stated several of them, I agree it would look cool, but for the sake of safety, practicality and aerodynamics stay out of the hood.

I have a hi-lift on the hood of the 86. It's as close to the wipers as possible without hitting anything when opening the hood. Been on there couple years, doesn't obstruct the view, hasn't cracked the hood, handy when it's needed. Aesthetics are not important on this rig, there's not a straight piece of metal left anywhere.
