brake swap??
I have a 70 model with manual brakes and a wrecked 83 with power brakes.
1) Can I swap the discs over to the 70?
2) Can I put the booster on the 70?
3) Are the rearends the same as far as mounting?

Richard, you'll need a 73-9 to do a swap to discs. The ibeams bolt right up to the 67-72 trucks. As they changed the spindles on the 80 & up trucks to put the linkage in front of the axles, the parts won't fit the older models. It may be that the spindle diameter is the same but the caliper mounting won't work. Again for the booster, you can use any one up to 77. The rear ends will probably have a different measurement between the leaf mounting pads. For the swap, check out the article in the tech section on this site.
