Ya around here there are only about 5 or 6 87-91 trucks and all of them have the body side moulding like yours. My 88 F150 and our 89 F250 didn't come with body side moulding and our 89 F350 I tore off shortly after getting the truck as when we paint it it is going to be bare (probably no emblems too). For some reason I mostly see 92-96s and a few 97-04 heritages the rest there are few off. Mostly around here are Toyotas for some reason.

Everything is beat to death around here we live on backroads most of us haul tons of junk, and offroad like crazy. Once in a while you will find a clean truck but very rarely. You would be surprised what calls as good condition around here. That and prices for 4x4 fords are really high usually. I see 87-91s go for $3500 on up and that is with 200k miles or more. Once in a while you will find a good deal on a truck.
I couldn't believe it when the guy who sold me my 88 F150 said $400 even with the intake off and such.

All of our trucks we have either paid cheap or they were on payments:
97 expedition: $2200 (clean body and all but has 180K and needs a few parts here and there)
88 F150: like I said before $400 (clean body just needs some part and TLC which I think I am close and I have only put $300 or so into it)
89 F250: $700 running no bed and right side wrecked ($250 for flatbed free fender, core support and such and bam good truck just need to figure out what went wrong now that it isn't running (I believe it was the inertia switch)
89 F350: $100 (not running needs complete rebuild, got a flatbed need some parts for the clip but $100 is really cheap I could make more if I scrapped it)
84 B2: $400 needed a few parts for front clip and rusted but ran great.
02 F250: this one we are paying payments on will be $18k when paid off this truck has a clean body (has a few dents) but runs great.
The 86 F150 I posted was $2000 running and driving clean body I just beat it up being I liked to show off.
these are just the fords not going to list the bikes and chevy.
Edit: as for offroading around here nobody cares as long as you don't ruin the roads and you go up to the part that is called BLM where you are allowed to ofroad. Now ruin the roads good luck getting away without your tailgate being peppered. LOL
Anyways sorry for getting so far off topic.

Lol yea your truck has a pretty high ride height which is awesome! Yea were did you tap into for the brake light? I have a friend do all my wiring he does all the wiring to my towns fire department etc hes been doing it for awhile everything is soldered and shrinkwrapped nice clean work

Sounds good. That's how I do all of my wiring.

I was getting some oil sucking through my PCV. I think it has to do with the baffle valve covers I have. I put a filter in the PCV line to try to trap the oil and see just what's happening.
Put a new air filter on the carb too. Drove it about 160 miles one way on a trip and tracked 9.5 mpg averaging about 65 mph by GPS. I could've slowed down to the 55 mph speed limit to get better mpg, but I was trying to get down the road.

Finally got my new speedometer/odometer gear installed. It's pretty close now, within 3% of being totally accurate. 55 MPH on my GPS reads 53.5 on the speedo. Much better than the 45 MPH that it showed before @55 MPH actual speed. Even more glad that my odometer will be accurate again for tracking miles and fuel economy.

Same. With my gearing and no overdrive I rarely run over 65 for any period of time. All the highways around me are 55 mph limit anyhow, so doesn't really matter.

Update Time...
About 2,500 miles since the engine rebuild, and it's doing awesome. Still sucking a little oil through the PCV, but that's an aftermarket valve cover baffle issue. I've been running a 3/8" fixed orifice (straight through) fitting for the PCV which certainly hasn't helped. I bought some various filtered breathers and PCV valves yesterday to try out and see what gives me the best results.

Got some new lights on my push bar yesterday:
Here's a comparison for you, not the greatest because it was foggy out:
Regular Headlights:
Push Bar Lights:
The lights don't have an extremely long range. About the same range as the headlights, but they give a lot more light on the side of the road and I don't feel like I'm driving through a tunnel anymore. I also like the crisp white light.
I ordered some headlight bulbs that should put out a similar white light and hopefully project a little further.
------------------------------
I still haven't gotten to my power steering cooler yet... It's the kind that runs in a loop pattern on the front crossmember under the engine, & I think some road debris put a pin-hole in it or something. I have an original Ford 2-row power steering cooler that mounts in front of the radiator. I'm going to mount that & run steel lines to/from it, flare them, and use small sectons of power steering return line to connect to the cooler and reservoir which will keep the needed flex in it for body/frame travel, bouncing, etc... I wanted to get to that today, but it's raining...
I've been thinking about getting a bed cap. At least for winters. I've had ice frozen in my bed for almost 2 weeks now, and I don't exactly like it. Plus it would be nice to be able to keep things in my bed without fear of stuff getting wet. If I got one it would have to be flat with the top of the truck cab. I can be picky about stuff looking right. I would also get it painted at the same time that I get the truck painted. I see decent used caps anywhere from $50-$300 locally. Just something running through my head...
