Rocker Pods? anyone seen them

Happen to be whatching TruckU on TV this weekend and say this product called "Rocker Pods."

ROCKER POD Cargo Step from Ultimate Truck Gear

Wondering if anyone has seen them on an Excursion anywhere? I searched here but found nothing in the Excursion threads. I'll go back and look at the F250 sections.

Little pricey (?), but I think it would be great for my (2) viair's and supplies.

^^^ This!
And, they're a bit bulky, aren't they? Look like a great concept, but poorly done in the finishing department.

Heck yeah I need more room!!!

Camping:

Three large dogs sharing rear seat and back end with one kid (15), daughter and fiancé in middle seat. Wife and me in front. With all the dang recovery gear I carry back there, something like this would be ideal to empty the back end.

It would also allow me to stop worrying about heavy missiles flying around in a crash.

And to boot, as they said on the video, it would provide a locked box to carry my ammo in. I go to the range a lot.

For me, function beats the heck out of form if it solved my dilemma.
I don't think they look that bad, anyway.

Would the stock lighted running boards be in the way?

They replace the running boards. There is even an option for a lower recessed step for the doors.

I've seen them before. They look awkward on any vehicle with any kind of ground clearance. But trucks that are lower to the ground, they can look cool.

I can tell you I wouldnt put them on my truck. They wouldnt last long before getting high centered on something. And thats an expensive mistake.

That is probably the major issue. Is getting High centered.

I was planning on making sliders with boards out of DOM and sheet, then having it line-x 'ed along with my bumpers. I will be a lot less in the hole dollar wise. Wish I was rich.

Even if I was you couldn't give those things to me. I wouldn't put those on my truck for $500.
