Hey everybody, my father in law has decided to give me his 03 fx4 ext cab! Such an awesome gesture yet it is bittersweet for me because now im selling my 06 screw 4x4. Im noticing that the 06 is a little beefier than my now 03 and I hate to see it go, but weve got some house projects we wanna get done and could use that money. How badass are the 97-03s?

 

The best year is usually the last year of the run as manufacturers have corrected most of the issues that show up.

 

I went from a '98 to an '08 and wish I'd never gotten rid of my '98. I now have an '03 and I was right. I like this 03 better than the '08. To me it looks better and drives almost as smooth as the '08.

 

Yeah I startin to warm up to it. Once I got the old man high topper cap off, it got a lot better, and I do think its more comfy. I did notice tho that this fx4 has 3.55s while my 06 xlt has 3.73s, and they both have the "towing package"......

 

4.10 swap will really wake up the 03.
