1948 F4 front brake drums, NumberDummy please help
#16
Jedwa best of luck with your search. I was able to get my drums turned. They are past the max spec size by probable .035. The parts store that turned them said they couldn't find the spec for them, and I wasn't offering up any information since they are made of unobtaineum. I would be curious what the cost would be to have a drum cast, as Chuck suggested. I would imagine it would be pricey if you could find some place competent to do it.

"I have a pair if anyone is interested. they are a something like .020 or .040 over spec but they are in good shape. not trying to hock my stuff, just trying to help out."
Thanks Thundersnow, I wish I could use them but south east South Dakota is a long ways from southwest Virginia! Unless you know a trucker that uses 81 often and would be willing to drop them off here. The UPS man makes too much off of me already...
