6.9L diesels: HD or standard options?
I'm looking through car-part.com searching junkyards for parts (awesome site), and there is an option for the 6.9L of "HD" or "std". Are there two different versions of this truck? Mine is and 84 4x4, XLT, so I would assume it's an "HD" version. My dad bought the truck, and I'm pretty sure it has a higher GVW than normal, too.
I'm specifically looking for the air box, and I get two different results for each version I select in the options, though they take the same filter, so they have to be the same, right?
Anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

Maybe they are referencing the cooling system as being std or HD, because they did come with two different styles of radiators in the diesels, a long wide one and a tall narrow one. That might make the snorkel on the aircleaner different, if the cold air intake has to be in a different place because of the radiator.
Ford made a light duty f250, I am not sure if they called it that though. The main difference in it was the rearend, it was like a f150 axle and was semi-floating, but it had 8 lug rims.
They made the f250HD, and it had the full floating rear axle. It has the large black thing sticking out of the center of the back wheel with all the little bolts in it. I do know all diesels came with this axle. I can't say what the engine line-up was besides that.
