Should I trade or give Jasper one more chance?

I own a 05 SCrew Lariat F150 5.4L 2wd. 88K original miles. Last fall at 78K miles my engine blew and I had to dish out the funds for a new one. I went with Jasper as they appeared to be a trusted brand. All was fine until three weeks ago. My jasper engine started shuttering. I took it to the shop, they ran some tests, called Jasper and Jasper replaced it by sending down a new engine for a complete swap. Low and behold the newest engine just received from Jasper is running worse than the first one. My mechanic (a very trusted one in the area) isolated the engine from the ECM, sensors, catalytic converter, solenoids, etc and all signs point to yet another faulty Jasper engine.
Should I risk more issues or just trade it in for another truck? I can't afford new but willing to spend some money just to get out of it. Thoughts very appreciated here!

Well , I can say we have never had an issue collecting on a warranty claim from Jasper . Even when I put 3 trannys in a T Bird in one week , or 2 engines in an F800 , or.... I could go on , but they have always stood behind the warranty ! I would give them at least 1 more try 3rd time is the charm , as they say .

JWC I hope you're right. Jasper is playing the blame game with my mechanic at this point and isn't willing to do anything until they ship the engine back up to Jasper's plant for them to inspect it. They say it's not the engine causing the problem because they don't see how two engines could be bad to begin with. I have a bad feeling about this.

I've been without my truck for two weeks now and until Jasper figures out what they decide I'll be another week or two. It's ridiculous. I'd like to tell Jasper to buy the engine back and refund the labors costs and I'll be done with them.

I have been told they play the blame game with some places . They actually send some to our shop for a second opinion . But the shop I work at has been in buisness for 30 years in the same location and has a good reputation with the community and several builders and suppliers . Best of luck whatever you decide .
