I put one in, have the license plate frame style camera in black and its not very noticeable... not a big bulky camera that stands out.
I hated my last truck having it wired to turn on when in reverse. So on this truck i wired it in to my aux switches and can flip it on whenever i want!!

You can see the ball hitch ok? I am getting tired of backing up, getting out, being 1 inch off and repeating several times, IN THE RAIN!
I can't see the ball but I can see the stinger. The reason behind this problem is that since I have a lifted truck I have a 6" drop hitch so I can't see that angle. But I believe that a normal hitch would be perfect. And either way I still have gotten so used to it and don't have any problems.
I have a wireless liscense plate one that is adjustable. I adjusted it so that I can see the hitch ball and it works perfect.
Not that great of a pic but you can see the ball at the bottom......

Its funny, a buddy of mine with a 2012 jeep was showing me his factory camera. When something was at the "red zone" it was actually right there at the bumper instead of the imposed 2' that it looks like in the camera. He said the first time he learned this he hit a pole int he parking garage he was in. He said in the camera it looked like the pole was a good foot away yet. When he was showing me the camera deal we were backing up out of a driveway with a garbage can to one side. He backed up to the garbage can that was within a foot of the jeep but on the camera it looked like it was a good 4' away yet.
But however I do want a back up camera in my X for backing up to trailers. Sucks jumping in and out a few times just to see how close you are.
Thanks for the inputs guys. Good info. I have read some of the wireless ones don't work well with our Super Duty because of distance and all the metal.
