The EGR delete is what's causing the code to set.

You need a custom tune so the PCM doesnt look for EGR. Edge, Bully Dog, or Banks wont do it. Innovative, DP, Gearhead etc will.

Basically it comes down to this. Yes your EGR valve is there and the electrical connector is connected however the truck utilizes the MAP sensor to reference a difference in pressure in the intake manifold to know when the EGR has opened. When you have a loss in pressure (EGR open) the the MAP sensor will pick that up. No drop tell the computer something is wrong. The only way to fool the computer on 05s and up is with a tuner. All this of cours IIRC.

I was thinking it was the two temperatures that were measured and if it didn't see the increase in temperature at the second sensor (post EGR inlet), it threw the code. But I could be wrong too.....

I thought an SCT 3015 could turn the valve function off and kill the CEL without actually doing a tune.

You can also send your PCM to PHP, and they can load in a stock rollback with the EGR off and no CEL. $150 plus shipping compared to $325+retail for a tuner.

Im not sure Tex, I remember back when I had my 04...different animal PCM wise, that you could do it that way. I thought the 05-07 had to be tuned to change other PCM parameters that the MAP, and EGR would effect.
