Another one bites the dust

It's amazing what passes for a mechanic these days. Especially when dealing with an older truck. This is my review of McBride spring and alignment to the Better Business Bureau.

These people used to be good. now there are idiots!

Took my truck in for "U"joints, axle shims for drive shaft alignment. Told them I had a vibration above 60, don't test drive.

They did test drive it, up to 45mph! Two bads there. The worst problem was the "U" joints. The rear had not been greased. It took a few pump to burp the seals. The front one did not even have a grease zert in the joint. What morons!

They couldn't even figure out what joint to use in the rear. I think they tried to force one in. I had to enlighten them on the correct one. All they had to do was take the old one over to NAPA and get a replacement.

Never more.

They also "measured" the font end alignment and charged me for doing no changes. I didn't request that they do that. If I can trust there measurements it needs a little fine tuning. The guy that does front end alignment didn't seem to have a clue and proceeded to tell my the truck would behave differently than it does.

Don't go there!
