Hey if anyone has heard from yaga1973, let us know. He lives in Moore Oklahoma, this goes for the rest of our okie Fte brethren as well. We're ok here in Tulsa and broken arrow. Gary may have gotten some strong winds in his neck of the woods. If this is the wrong forum do this, Chris will let me know!

It shows that we are about more than a love of old trucks! God bless them and may our great country rally around them!

Talk about cutting it close!

I'm glad to hear that he's alright, and that Gary, etc are doing fine also!

Glad to hear that Yaga is ok. But, there are many, many families in Moore that aren't. Today's edition of the Tulsa paper has so many accounts, pictures, etc of the storm that are just heart-wrenching. Please keep all of them in your prayers.

My wife and I just got home last night from a month in Europe and found no damage here. But, it was apparently a close thing as the Weather Channel pinged us many times during the previous night while we were in a hotel in Frankfurt to say a tornado was headed toward the house. The neighbors say they saw a wall could about 1/4 mile away that had rotation, but it didn't come down right there. However, there was a report of a tornado on the ground about 3 miles away so it probably did come down, just not on us.

Good to know you are all ok. The damage is just beyond belief, my best friend's cousin's house is a pile of rubble. I really think the saving grace was the F5 that his Moore in '99 (only place on record to ever get hit twice by an F5). Afterwards (and partially thanks to grants/tax credits), alot of folks in Moore either got shelters or found a reliable place to shelter. Otherwise I fear we'd have to put a zero after the current death total. Very sad, but it's nice to see the entire state rally together.

The state is really rallying. Our church took a trailer to Walmart yesterday and filled it about 3/4 full of supplies people donated on their way out and also got $2500 in monetary contributions for the relief. The trailer and funds are on their way down as I type. In addition a work day is being scheduled for next week and many are going down for that. Unfortunately, also as I type there is a significant thunderstorm hitting the Moore area so the cleanup efforts are being hampered.

We did this one year ago for the Joplin tornado as we are about the same distance from them as from Moore, and I know that many other churches did the same then and are doing the same now. It is good to see people rally to the aid of others.
