7.3 rough idle no power no ses light
Hi im new to this site and have a 2001 ford f-350 as I was driving home today it started to run rough and when I stoped at a stop light it was shaking real bad and wouldn't hardly take off again. Don't have a clue where to start ive been reading some of the thread so I located the icp and unplugged it no change and it was dry. If I buy the AE scantool would it be worth the money I have two powerstrokes a 2012 and the 2001??????

here is more info change fuel filter, oil only has 1500 miles since change 80000 miles on truck, superchip programmer, turbo back exhaust, never touched the engine except for reg. maintenance, ats transmission.
I had noticed this winter that it took a long time for the truck to warm up enough that it would have any power about 20 minutes im not sure if this is related or not ive had this truck since 2003.

That really sounds like the UVCH. You can ohm out each injector through the 42-pin connector (over the driver-side VC):
The last two links in my signature discuss how to troubleshoot the 7.3L, and the AE with the Ford bundle covers both generations of trucks. That should help with your decision.

Return your tuning to stock and pull any chip when troubleshooting... many a driver has been thwarted by this alone.
Are you by chance near or below 1/4 tank?
ICP can be a question mark. Pull the connector on the ICP when idling and see what this does (you'll get an SES light until plugged back in).
