Two choices of pump mounting, directly on the engine or in front of the engine driven by a short driveshaft.
Ford might have, or had at one time a accessory pulley* kit which could be adapted to a engine mounted style pump, the front mounted w/shaft would be up to the final modifier. Yes, there are systems that modify the radiator and run the shaft thru the core to the pump.
* one thought would be if you had a air compressor or not. If not, then you could probably get the mount and pulley kit for that and adapt it over for a mount and v belt drive for a engine mounted pump. Use a 12v clutch, and you can engage and disengage the hydraulics as needed.

HYDRAULIC PUMPS
There are many choices on setting up a remote hydraulic system, PTO off of the transmission, belt driven from the engine , crank driven from the engine. All these are easy to set up , but some are quite costly. The easiest is probably the belt driven clutch pump, this gives you hyd power at the flip of a switch, this is what we use for wreckers, dumps , and snow plow setups. PTO trans driven pumps are more expensive and most can't be used while vehicle is in motion, we use these on larger dumps and wreckers ect. Crank driven pumps are mainly used on state snow plow trucks , utility line trucks with cranes or man lifts , also very expensive. There is a device that can be wired in to the hyd clutch pump curcut that won't let you engage the pump above a set rpm.

HYDRAULIC PUMPS
Check out www.surpluscenter.com they have about anything you could want in the hydraulic line and the prices are'nt bad. As far as belt slippage on clutch pumps it's no worse than any other belt drive unit. Most clutch pumps use two belts and are mainly trouble free. Finding the adapter for the crank on a crank driven pump may be a problem. Some have to be custom built .
