Transfer Case Removal

I had my truck at the shop today and it was determined that the transfer case front driveshaft seal is leaking and the gasket between the transmission and transfer case has also failed. The shop wants a reasonable amount to fix it but they need the truck for 2-3 days. It doesn't appear to be that difficult of a job to remove the transfer case. Am I missing something? Dropping off the truck and leaving it for a few days is the PITA portion......if they could do it in a day I'd just pay them and be done with it. So my thought was to pull it and just drop it off so they can replace the seals and fix any other issues. Plus I'd save some $$$$$. Thoughts?

Truck info in my sig.

Have them do the whole job. That way, they have to stand behind it.

In and out in a day would be good, but it's hard to find a shop that doesn't have anything else going that can commit to that.

jmo....
