Another option is to sell it to a friend/family member who would sell it back to you when you wanted it back. Kinda like a pawn shop would do. Just another thought.....
It's late and been thinking. I've had 1 offer and one scam call about the truck. The legit offer was for the body and frame only...no can do. He was expecting a significant price drop with that. I've been thinking since I've had it up for sale about 2 or so weeks. I may just keep hold of the ole girl after all. Just gonna arrange somewhere to keep it and buy a cover for it to keep it marginally out of the weather. I'm 21 years old..I've had this truck since I was 18. I've put a lot of time thus far into it..I'm sire it can wait a little longer. Right now these trucks are a dime a dozen..but it seems like collector value is rising a tad bit. Heck..when I'm 50 I'm sure these trucks will be ancient and old news. And who knows what collector value may do..but who can say that in this day and age their first vehicle (think on terms of my age here) was a '68 Ford..and I still have it. And one day ill still have it to pass on.

Can I hear an AAAAMEN from the pews in the back!!!!!!!!!!!
read again amigo, 43 years... I bought it after coming home from Viet Nam, and got out of the hospital with some bucks burning a hole in my pocket.. An old neighbor had the truck, his health was failing, so he sold it to me in Dec. 1969, so I guess I've had it 44 years now. Anyway, hang in there young'n.
Seems like these trucks are coming into their own this day and age. Noticed the past 5 or so years people been trying harder and harder to come across these trucks. Figured I'd hold to mine while I still had it and not fight for one in the future. Heck..just had a friend buy a 66 tonight for a great price
You know what you have in an old truck. Seems to me, that the newer trucks get, the less longevity is built into them. My thoughts are, that now days, computers are able to assist engineers in design, so that materials and stresses can be projected, considering cost minimization, not necessarily durability.

A lot more than just money. Blood..sweat...a dream. I didn't realize how much of a hobby it was tom I considered selling it..then I thought" what to do with my time?"

A dream fueled by Nitrous Oxide Passion. I bought my first 71 F100 Custom many years ago, back when I was much younger. Times got hard and someone offered me twice what I paid for it. Sold. I grew older and started to miss the deep rumble of a 360/390 with your foot all into the gas. 2001 I had a chance to purchase another one. This one has had a rough life. I intend to bring her back to life. the last ten years has seen many ups and downs for me, but I would not sell my truck for any amount of money. That truck will leave my possession only when I am cold and stiff.
