Leaking injector.. started l with damp, then seeping, now dribbling
Truck had been sitting for 5+ years and saw about 50 miles since I bought it last week. I noticed that the front left (looking down at the hood) injector seemed a little damp, then checked again a day later and it was definately wet. Now it dribbles fuel.
Can I replace the one injector or do I have to take the lines off of all injectors on that side? I'd like to do a full tune up (new inj & glow plugs) but no money for it. I do need to get the leak fixed.

The injectors are usually held in altogether with one large bracket(fuel rail). So you will have to loosen that whole side. It's a little bit of a pain with everything else in the way, so you might end up taking some other stuff apart to get to it. The injectors are not mounted to anything, they are just trapped in there, with a o-ring down in the intake, and a o-ring in the upper rail piece.
If you are not in a hurry, you can find better deals on injectors if you look online. I got a whole set for my ranger off ebay for $90. I am not sure if the stores sell those o-rings or not. That might be all you need if the injector itself is not leaking.

I haven't heard of any brands to stay away from. If you can get new ones cheap enough, I would get those instead of the reman's.
The reason I changed mine out was one of my sparkplugs would be wet with fuel when I turned the engine off and let it sit for a few minutes. If your engine runs ok, and it's just leaking around one of the o-rings, a set of o-rings may be all you need.

If I get the set of injectors I'll also need an install kit, right? Or is everything usually included with the injector?

I have a 86 ranger that is fuel injected with a v6. The diesel is injected, but the only thing the same between it and a gas fuel injected engine is the word "injection".
The new injectors I got off ebay had the o-rings already on them. That's all you need is the injectors and the o-rings.
You may need to take the nylon fuel lines off that come from the tank, but all you do there is take the horsehoe clip off, and slide that off the rail.
